Global Peace Ambassador Zubairu Dalhatu Malami
Welcoming 2026 with Hope, Unity, and a Renewed Commitment to Peace
As the world steps into the year 2026, I extend heartfelt congratulations to all of humanity for witnessing the dawn of a new chapter. This moment is not only a celebration of time but a testament to our collective resilience, courage, and enduring hope.
The past year has reminded us of the fragility of peace and the urgency of action. From local communities to global corridors, insecurity continues to threaten lives, disrupt progress, and erode trust. As we welcome this new year, I call on governments, civil society, youth leaders, and everyday citizens to recommit to building violence-free societies rooted in justice, empathy, and inclusion.
Peace is not a passive wish — it is a daily choice. It requires us to speak out against injustice, to invest in dialogue, and to protect the dignity of every human being. Insecurity thrives where silence reigns and where communities are left behind. Let 2026 be the year we break that silence and build bridges across divides.
As Global Peace Ambassador, I will continue to work with partners across Nigeria and beyond — including IPCR, AUDA-NEPAD, APRI, and Zamkah Technologies — to strengthen early warning systems, empower youth and women, and promote community resilience. Together, we can transform conflict into cooperation and fear into hope.
Let us make 2026 a year of bold peace actions, not just peace words. A year where humanity rises above division and embraces the shared dream of a safer, kinder world.
Happy New Year to all. May peace guide our steps.
