The Federal Government of Nigeria, in collaboration with Mastercard, has launched an initiative aimed at boosting agricultural productivity by supporting one million farmers across Africa.

The announcement was made by Stanley Nkwocha, spokesperson for Vice-President Kashim Shettima, following a meeting between Shettima and Mastercard executives during the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The project, which will focus on Nigeria, Kenya, and Tanzania, aims to enhance financial inclusion and digital access to vital services for agricultural workers. It is being supported by the African Development Bank (AfDB).
