JIGAWA STATE IS A WRONG PLACE TO COMMIT CRIME AS AFFIRMED BY THE DECISIONS OF THE SUPREME COURT OF NIGERIA.
Today, the 10th day of April 2026, I led a team of State Counsels to the sitting of the Supreme Court of Nigeria at Abuja for its judgement in respect of suits no. SC/CR/2020/69 and SC/CR/70/2020; two criminal appeals against the conviction on separate incidences of murder by stabbing, perpetrated by one
Abdulmajid Hassan and Adamu Audu, respectively.
In both cases, the Nation’s Apex Court unanimously dismissed the Appeals and affirmed the Death Sentence earlier handed down on the dou by the Jigawa State High Court and upheld by the Court of Appeal.
The decisions are affirmation to the fact that Jigawa State under the able leadership of His Excellency, Governor Malam Umar Namadi FCA is a wrong place to commit crime, because the perpetrators will face the full wrath of the law.
Your Excellency, the Ministry of Justice, and indeed all the Administration of Justice Institutions in Jigawa State remain grateful for your full support and intervention, which ensures that we discharge our functions efficiently and effectively.

We remain committed to giving our maximum best in the task of protecting the life and property of people, for a more peaceful and economically vibrant Jigawa State in line with the 12-Point Agenda of your administration.
